The goal of our team is to revolutionize the Canadian Health Care System and significantly increase cost effective, evidence based mental health services to children.
To improve access to children's mental health services we are designing a system that unites complementary assessment and treatment components. Together they represent a realistic and promising solution to children's mental health waiting lists and decreased access to care. Our research will refine and test our suggested system.
We are aware that children and their families will benefit from a system that:
The assessment component of our proposed, unified system, is the Brief Child and Family Phone Interview (BCFPI). The treatment component is the Family Help Program.
